Post-Baccalaureate Research Education Program<\/strong> is a 1-year research program that facilitates enrollment into biomedical graduate degree programs. (NIH) Chem Scholars <\/strong>was a Chemistry program for incoming freshman. Launched in July 2012, it featured three components: understanding the mathematics of chemistry rather than concept development; the creation of a Chem Scholars community which fosters long-term cooperation among its students; and time management. <\/p>\n The Initiative for Maximizing Student Development<\/strong> was a series of innovative services and support mechanisms aimed to dramatically increase the ability of our biomedical graduate programs to attract, retain, and promote the success of underrepresented minority students. The program provided 1 year of support for undergraduate research positions and travel assistance for graduate students.
