The following hourly rates have been approved by Management Accounting and Analysis (MAA) and the Dean’s Office for 11\/1\/25-10\/31\/26.<\/p>\n

Confocal Microscopy:<\/h3>\n

Standard trained user rate: $ 75.38 \/ hour<\/p>\n

Training rate: $ 251.94 \/ hour<\/p>\n

For users new to confocal imaging, training typically requires 2, separate, 2-hour sessions.\u00a0 For users with previous confocal experience, training typically requires a single 1\u20132 hour session. 2 new users max per training session.<\/em><\/p>\n

Long-term rate for imaging time beyond 3 hours: $ 27.80 \/ hour (Note: the first 3 hours will be charged at $75.38 \/ hour)<\/p>\n

External Users (industry\/for-profit): $ 108.93 \/ hour standard, $ 364.05 \/ hour training, $ 40.17 \/ hour long-term (see above)<\/p>\n

Widefield Microscopy:<\/h3>\n

Standard trained user rate: $ 45.41 \/ hour<\/p>\n

Training rate: $ 251.94 \/ hour
\nFor users new to widefield microscopy, training typically requires ~1 hour. 2 new users max per training session.<\/em><\/p>\n

Long-term rate for imaging time beyond 3 hours: $ 31.30 \/ hour (Note: the first 3 hours will be charged at $45.41 \/ hour)<\/p>\n

External Users (industry\/for-profit): $ 65.61 \/ hour standard, $ 364.05 \/ hour training, $ 45.23 \/ hour long-term (see above)<\/p>\n

Light Sheet Microscopy:<\/h3>\n

The Keck Center is excited to offer training and imaging time on a 3I Lattice Light Sheet microscope. We are hoping to have trainings online in early 2026. If you are interested, please contact beliveau [at] uw.edu<\/em><\/p>\n

Standard trained user rate: $ 296.95 \/ hour<\/p>\n

Training rate: $519.02 \/ hour<\/p>\n

External Users (industry\/for-profit): $ 429 \/ hour for usage, $750 \/ hour for training<\/p>\n

Image Analysis:<\/h3>\n

IMARIS workstation:\u00a0 $ 34.75 \/ hour (undergraduate and graduate students may use at no cost)<\/p>\n

External Users (industry\/for-profit): $ 50.21 \/ hour<\/p>\n
