Congratulations to Kendan Jones-Isaac on his UW Health Sciences Martin Luther King Jr. Tribute Community Service Award!

Kendan Jones-Isaac is a dedicated mentor, colleague, and friend to all of us in the Kelly Lab. At the 2020 UW MLK Jr. Health Sciences Tribute, Kendan was one of six recipients from the six schools of the Health Sciences honored with a Community Service Award. This award recognizes individuals or group members who exemplify MLK Jr.’s principles: commitment to addressing community needs, particularly communities of color and low income; development and implementation of significant programs to improve the human condition; and outstanding efforts to protect and empower all individuals. Congratulations, Kendan!

Nia Vaenuku, a current Kelly Lab member and one of Kendan’s mentees, also delivered a great speech as this year’s undergraduate speaker!
