Dr. David Katz, MPH, PhD, is an Acting Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the University of Washington and an Epidemiologist for the HIV\/STD Program of Public Health \u2013 Seattle & King County.\u00a0 His research focuses on HIV self-testing, HIV\/STD partner services, and mathematical modeling of HIV prevention strategies among MSM. He is currently the co-lead on two CDC-funded projects evaluating the integration of HIV prevention and care interventions into STD partner services, the PI of a study investigating the acceptability of conducting partner services via geosocial networking apps, and a Co-Investigator on an NIH-funded study to model the population-level effects of HIV self-testing strategies among MSM. He recently coordinated a randomized, controlled trial that demonstrated access to HIV self-testing at no cost increases testing frequency among MSM in Seattle. He received his MPH and Ph.D. in Epidemiology from the University of Washington.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>
