Anna Louise Strong
Strong's now famous editorial in the Seattle Union Record two days before the strike began inspired the labor movement and pointed out the truly revolutionary potential that the general strike held. A member of the General Strike Executive Committee, Strong was a prominent radical and Feature Editor of the Seattle Union Record. She would leave Seattle for the Soviet Union shortly after the general strike and go on to become a world famous activist and journalist covering most of the the 20th century's major revolutions.
