This lab was funded by the Student Tech Fee. The Digital E-Classroom will be operational for Winter quarter, 2002.
Our new Digital E-Classroom offers:
- High-quality digital listening; high-speed access
- Independent language study and an electronic classroom environment
- Instructor control
- 29 PCs: 28 student consoles, 1 instructor console controlled by the Sony Virtuoso interface
- Instructors can:
- Reserve the E-Classroom
- Create student conversation groups
- Join in/listen to student conversations
- Give tests; record student speech
- Receive student calls for assistance
- Functionality matches the functionality of the obsolete analog system it replaces
- Add the possibility of digital video and captioning
