SCOLA is a non-profit organization that captures television and radio programming from around the world in various languages. SCOLA also provides other language learning content on this website such as language lessons. This is a particularly excellent resource for less commonly taught languages and cultures. Part of the funding for SCOLA is provided by the UW Student Technology Fee.
Docunight is a curated collection of Iranian documentaries. Access to this resource is provided by the UW Middle Eastern Languages and Cultures department.
Kanopy offers many films from around the world.
The UW Libraries provides access to a variety of films here.
The Seattle Public Libraries offers another selection of films here (a SPL library card/account is required to access these).
The National Film Board of Canada offers a variety of films and documentaries (including in languages such as Inuktitut). Films marked with a CAMPUS icon are UW restricted.
