Shape Memory Alloys are alloys that have the ability to change shape and structure after thermally heated.  As you can see by the picture above, the material will start out in a random shape and after heated be transformed into a shape that was predetermined.  This is done by a shape memorization process dealing with rapid cooling and heating multiple times under certain conditions.
