All MBTP trainees and fellows are required to create an Individual Development Plan (IDP), discuss the plan with their PI or other designated mentor, and\u00a0report\u00a0these activities to the MBTP.\u00a0 Those trainees who have created an\u00a0IDP in a previous year should review and update their IDP for the current academic year. Trainees are NOT required to submit a copy of their IDP to the MBTP.<\/p>\n
This IDP requirement addresses NIH guidelines<\/a> encouraging institutions to document the use of Individual Development Plans for all NIH-funded graduate students and postdocs.<\/p>\n The format is up to you.
