Access to Online Learning |
In the 2007 MELL Survey, 19% of high schools reported that they did not offer world language classes. However, over 13% of those reported that students could access world language courses through Online Learning. The Digital Learning Commons serves as a portal to Online Learning for Washington K-12 schools. The map below shows (in purple) which counties had schools or districts that were members of the Digital Learning Commons as of 2007. The counties in white did not have schools or districts that belonged to the Digital Learning Commons, and thus had less access to resources for Online Learning, including World Language courses offered online.
