Weekly meetings this quarter<br \/>\nwill be on <strong>Fridays from 12pm-1pm, starting October 18th in room 116<\/strong>.<br \/>\nMeeting locations may change from week to week, so make sure to subscribe<br \/>\nto the listserv by emailing sswarwag@uw.edu<\/p>\n<p>*What is ARWAG?*Anti-Racist White Allyship Group (ARWAG) is an open group<br \/>\nat the School of Social Work for students, staff, and faculty of all<br \/>\nidentities, and particularly those who benefit from white privilege. It is<br \/>\na space for critical self-reflection, dialogue, accountable community,<br \/>\nopportunities for action, and deepening our commitment to racial and social<br \/>\njustice. For more detailed information, check out the group description<br \/>\nattached to this email.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><br \/>\nBefore our first meeting, be sure to check out this event:<\/p>\n<p>*2019 Seattle Indigenous People&#8217;s Day Celebration *<br \/>\n(Facebook event here <a href=\"https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/473046213237813\/\">https:\/\/www.facebook.com\/events\/473046213237813\/<\/a>)<br \/>\nAs people who benefit from living on the colonized land of the Duwamish and<br \/>\nCoast Salish peoples, we encourage folks to attend the celebration of<br \/>\nIndigenous People&#8217;s Day on October 14th. A group of us will meet at 9:30AM<br \/>\nat the Westlake Starbucks before joining the rally and march to city hall.<\/p>\n<p>*If you&#8217;re interested in joining us for the rally and march, please reply to<br \/>\nthis email so we can keep an eye out for you!*You can also pay your<br \/>\nrespects to the Duwamish by paying Real Rent<br \/>\n&lt;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.realrentduwamish.org\/\">https:\/\/www.realrentduwamish.org<\/a>&gt;!
