{"id":14032,"date":"2022-01-10T15:26:44","date_gmt":"2022-01-10T23:26:44","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/mswnews\/?p=14032"},"modified":"2022-01-10T15:28:14","modified_gmt":"2022-01-10T23:28:14","slug":"va-mental-health-fellowship-opportunity-app-deadline-0217","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/mswnews\/2022\/01\/va-mental-health-fellowship-opportunity-app-deadline-0217\/","title":{"rendered":"VA Mental Health Fellowship Opportunity- App Deadline 02\/17"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The\u00a0VA San Diego Healthcare System\/University of California San Diego Interprofessional Fellowship in Psychosocial Rehabilitation &amp; Recovery Oriented Services (<strong>\u201cPSR Fellowship\u201d<\/strong>)\u00a0is currently recruiting for 1-2 social work fellow positions for the 2022-23 training year.\u00a0We provide\u00a0<strong>one year of paid, full-time, intensive training on\u00a0psychosocial rehabilitation (PSR)\u00a0<\/strong>services for Veterans diagnosed with serious mental illness, primarily psychotic disorders.\u00a0Our interdisciplinary fellowship (we also recruit psychology, vocational rehabilitation, and chaplaincy fellows)\u00a0has earned the American Psychological Association Division 18 President\u2019s Excellence in Training Award.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>PSR fellows work primarily at the VA San Diego\u2019s Center of Recovery Education (CORE), an award-winning CARF-accredited psychosocial rehabilitation program with an energetic and committed interdisciplinary team of staff and trainees who provide an impressive menu of evidence-based and innovative PSR services in a positive team culture. They also complete a rotation on our inpatient psychiatry unit. Fellows spend approximately 65-80% of their time conducting clinical work under the supervision of licensed social workers and psychologists, up to 20% on a scholarly project, and 15% in didactics and training activities. Our fellows have consistently ranked the program very positively and many have gone on to satisfying careers in the VA and elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The deadline for social work applicants is\u00a0<\/strong><strong>February 17, 2022<\/strong>.
