The UW Center for International Relations and Cultural Leadership Exchange (CIRCLE) has a great opportunity for one Graduate Student Program Coordinator for 2024-25 (see position description attached). This would be a great position for someone who is interested in engaging with students from diverse cultural backgrounds and supporting their success at the UW.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Department Description<\/strong>
The Center for International Relations & Cultural Leadership Exchange (CIRCLE) is a
department on campus that serves as a hub for international student support and engagement.
In addition, CIRCLE provides intentional engagement opportunities for both domestic and
international students so that they learn from one another and gain the necessary skills to thrive
in a global economy. As part of the strategy to make CIRCLE a \u201chome away from home\u201d for
students, there is an emphasis on creating a space that is student-centered and conducive to
relationship building and learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Job Description
<\/strong>Under the supervision of the Assistant Director of Graduate Programs and Operations, the
Graduate Student Program Coordinator will be coordinating the planning and execution of a
variety of programs to engage UW graduate students. The programs will range in scale, scope
and audience and will take place throughout the academic year to ensure continuous student
engagement. In addition, the Graduate Student Program Coordinator will support the
assessment and evaluation of each program and provide feedback for future iterations. Finally,
the Graduate Student Program Coordinator will engage with a variety of campus partners during
the planning and execution of CIRCLE programs.
Pay Rate: $23 per hour.
Hours: 10-16 hours during fall, winter, spring quarters.
Length of position: 2024-2025 Academic Year (preferably starting in summer 2024 with a
possibility of extension to more than one academic year).

Responsibilities<\/strong>
\u25cf Provide key support to the CIRCLE International Graduate Student Portfolio under the
supervision of the Assistant Director.
\u25cf Support the Assistant Director with event planning, marketing, communication and
evaluation.
\u25cf Assist the Assistant Director in planning, designing, and implementation of professional
development and community-building events for international graduate students
(professional development workshops and community building events).
\u25cf Support program assessment and evaluation efforts.
\u25cf Support the Assistant Director in managing and tracking budgets for all the events.
\u25cf Ensuring timely updates and structure of minutes of the meeting and CIRCLE programs.
\u25cf Assist the Assistant Director in research for supporting students navigating in the US.
\u25cf Collaborate with the CIRCLE International Student Advisory Board to support graduate
student related working groups.
\u25cf Support the development of communication and marketing materials.
\u25cf Collaborate with CIRCLE Strategic Communication Coordinator, Student Transitions
Coordinator as needed.
\u25cf Assist with event logistics including venue and catering reservation and event guest
communications via email, phone, and walk-in.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


Requirements<\/strong>
\u25cf Registered as a UW graduate student in any field of study.
\u25cf Candidate needs to meet the UW student employment policy at
http:\/\/www.washington.edu\/admin\/rules\/policies\/EAP\/CH104.html
\u25cf Experience in engaging diverse campus and community populations, particularly
international graduate students.
\u25cf Strong verbal and written communication skills
\u25cf Strong event planning and project management skills
\u25cf Highly organized, analytical, and motivated individual that shows initiative.
\u25cf Professional, reliable, and detail-oriented.
\u25cf Ability to work in a collaborative team setting but also independently.
\u25cf Availability to work minimal evenings and weekends.
\u25cf Experience with MS Office Applications especially One Drive
\u25cf Ability to lift 20 – 30 lbs. of materials and supplies for quarterly events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
