See more details through the accompanied flyer below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This traineeship offers targeted skill-building for Specialized MSW students committed to the health and well-being of Latinx communities. The program equips students to be effective practitioners by deepening their understanding of practice models and interventions that resonate with Latinx individuals, families and communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students participating in the Social Work Practice with Latinx Communities complete their specialized field placement at a field site with a strong commitment to serving Latinx individuals, families and community while advancing and supporting the student\u2019s learning and growth. Students in this Traineeship also participate in a year-long seminar that integrates theory and practice by enlisting the expertise of Latinx community field instructors, leaders and partners who share their knowledge and insights.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Important Program Notes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The traineeship is open to all second-year, specialized students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students need to enroll in Soc W539: Engaged Practice with Latinx Populations<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students need to enroll in a Latinx-eligible 1\u20133 credit elective outside\/or within the School of Social Work\u00a0<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Students need to participate in a year-long integrative seminar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility Requirements<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Demonstrated commitment to Latino\/x\/a community<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a practicum site with caseload of at least 25% Latinx clients<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open to clinical and non-clinical students<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Spanish language proficiency requirements vary by site<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><em>All placements at clinical and direct-practice sites require a high proficiency in Spanish. Fluency preferred.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application Process<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Please submit applications or questions about the program to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:aida@uw.edu\">Aida V.
