Our&nbsp;<strong>mission<\/strong>&nbsp;is to partner with older adults to provide accessible and inclusive services so they can age their way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We are currently seeking a&nbsp;<strong>Social Worker&nbsp;<\/strong>to join our Ballard NW Senior Center in Seattle, WA.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-4fc3f8e1 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>What will YOU do?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The Social Worker responds to client concerns, provides comprehensive assessments and develops interventions that increase client stability, support independence, and prevent hospitalization.<strong>&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Pay Rate:&nbsp;<\/strong>$34.84 per hour.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Work Schedule:&nbsp;<\/strong>Monday Through Friday, 24 hours per week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-4fc3f8e1 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Benefits:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Employer funded Medical, Dental, Basic Vision, Life and Disability insurance coverage for the employee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>401k with employer contribution without employee required contribution.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>3 weeks paid vacation, paid sick leave, 13 paid holidays (11 scheduled and 2 floating holidays\/personal days).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health savings account contribution by employer, Flexible Spending Account, Commuter benefits and more!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-4fc3f8e1 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Initiate home and\/or virtual visits with clients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engage client to identify needs through in-depth assessment utilizing evidence-based tools, considering cognitive, behavioral, social and functional aspects.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Investigate complex psycho-social situations with collateral contacts, environmental observations, and when possible, review of prior attempts to engage client.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Develop and implement strengths-based care plan with client.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mobilize clients&#8217; families and support circles to respond to client needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Facilitate appropriate referrals to community programs, health care providers, APS and\/or law enforcement. Advocate for needed services and provide necessary follow-up.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Seek and integrate cultural guidance from diverse community members\/agencies about how to best serve individual clients.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform crisis intervention; as a Mandatory Reporter as defined by state law, immediately report identified concerns such as abuse, neglect, emergent medical issues, etc. to appropriate state or local authority and notify supervisors; comply with other related laws, organization policies, and program procedures.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Advance care plans, track progress, and close contact when interventions are substantively accomplished.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Participate in team meetings to review assessments and interventions in case conference, to further strategize, collaborate, and confer with multidisciplinary team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure areas of responsibility operate within the policies and procedures of Sound Generations and applicable governing agencies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist Supervisor with program planning and operations. Provide observations related to programmatic development to Supervisor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-vertical is-layout-flex wp-container-core-group-is-layout-4fc3f8e1 wp-block-group-is-layout-flex\">\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Master&#8217;s degree in social work, psychology, counseling, or related field.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>WA State Department of Health clinical social work licensure (LICSW) or mental health counseling licensure (LMHC). Will consider those working toward licensure.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Experience performing psychosocial, psychiatric, and substance use assessments, and developing interventions relevant to risk, with older adult population.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Minimum three (3) years of professional experience working with older adults and\/or individuals with cognitive or behavior issues, or comparable human services experience.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Geriatric Mental Health Certification or the ability to obtain certification within 18 months of hire.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sound Generations is an equal opportunity employer, and we value our diverse workforce.
