We are excited to present FOUR NEW Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) sections<\/p>\n

for our women students, faculty and staff. This system of physical defense is a<\/p>\n

program of realistic self-defense tactics and techniques for women, taught by<\/p>\n

certified RAD instructors. Each section must total 12 hours of RAD instruction<\/p>\n

for certification.<\/p>\n

SECTION A Thursdays, OCTOBER 4, 11, 18 8:00AM-NOON<\/p>\n

SECTION B Thursdays, OCTOBER 4, 11, 18 1:30PM-5:30PM<\/p>\n

SECTION C Thursdays, NOVEMBER 1, 8, 15 8:00AM-NOON<\/p>\n

SECTION D Thursdays, NOVEMBER 1, 8, 15 1:30PM-5:30PM<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

All sections are held at the UWPD in Room 111 of the Bryants Building<\/strong>, which<\/p>\n

is located at 1117 NE Boat Street on the water side \u2013 in the middle of the block,<\/p>\n

just opposite the Fishery Sciences Building. (Agua Verde Restaurant and<\/p>\n

Recycled Cycles are at each end of Boat Street.)<\/p>\n

To register, please email peasel@uw.edu<\/a> and give your name and a phone<\/p>\n

number plus the section you want to reserve. Class size is limited to 20 women in<\/p>\n

each section.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This training is easy but intense. We ask that you only register for a section if you<\/p>\n

can commit to attending all 12 hours.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

There is no cost for this training. Bring or wear clothes in which you can freely<\/p>\n

move and drinking water.<\/p>\n
