Are you interested in learning more about the Affordable Care Act?<\/strong>\u00a0Do you have questions about how insurance works, or how the ACA
\nimpacts you or your family\/friends? Or, do you want to engage more deeply in ACA work and help underserved populations access coverage?
\nIf so, the ACA Access, Education, and Advocacy Team is here for you, and we have some exciting events coming up.\u00a0Students of ALL<\/strong>
\nbackgrounds are welcome!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

1) KICK-OFF EVENT: ACA BASICS<\/strong>
\nMonday, Nov. 24th from 5-7pm<\/strong>
\nLocation: To be confirmed ASAP \u2014 a follow up email will be sent to those who RSVP!
\n
\nCome learn about the ACA! Professionals from the nonprofit organization\u00a0WithinReach\u00a0will be here to provide an interactive training
\nthat will introduce you to the Affordable Care Act and basic eligibility, coverage, and enrollment policies, as well as clear up
\nquestions about health insurance in general.\u00a0This is a great event to attend no matter how involved you hope to be with our<\/strong>
\norganization, and definitely bring any friends who might be interested in the topic!<\/strong>

\nAlso, feel free to email us if you have a specific question that you\u2019d like to get answered.\u00a0For those who are interested in getting
\nmore involved with our campaign, we will also discuss upcoming\u00a0opportunities\u00a0to\u00a0share your ACA knowledge within the UW community, and
\nto help uninsured and underinsured people gain access to medical coverage through collaboration with WithinReach and local free
\nclinics.<\/p>\n

2) ACA ENROLLMENT EVENT<\/strong>
\n(In collaboration with Public Health Seattle\u00a0\u2013\u00a0King County)<\/em>
\nSaturday, Dec. 6th from 11am-3pm<\/strong>\u00a0(we may end up having 2 shifts)
\nSeattle Central Public Library \u2013 1000 4th Ave, Seattle WA 98104<\/p>\n

Come see the ACA enrollment process in action at this large community event! You will provide support to professional IPAs (In-Person
\nAssisters) as they work with clients hoping to enroll in various health insurance options. In addition, you will be able to get your
\nfeet wet by working with clients to review required documents and troubleshoot technical difficulties.\u00a0Carpooling will be available<\/strong>\u00a0and
\nthis should be a very fun, educational, and meaningful event!<\/p>\n

**NOTE: Attendance at the kick-off is\u00a0mandatory\u00a0if you are interested in volunteering at the ACA Enrollment Event<\/strong>. Sign-ups will be
\navailable at the kick-off. If you have an unavoidable conflict, please let us know ASAP.**<\/em><\/p>\n
