\nBio:<\/strong> Kate Noson is Lecturer of Italian Studies at the University of California, Berkeley, where her fields of research are disability studies, modern Italian literature, and gender and sexuality studies.
\nAbstract:<\/strong> In this talk, Noson theorizes literary \u201ctransability\u201d as an appropriation of disabled modes of being and knowing, to read Gabriele Pedull\u00e0\u2019s story \u201cMiranda\u201d (2009) as an expression of anxiety regarding both queer sexuality and blind epistemology.
