Summer Institute in Bioethics<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Interdisciplinary Center for Bioethics at Yale University will host two acclaimed programs this summer:<\/p>\n

Foundations of Bioethics (4 days<\/em>, from June 4-7, 2018);<\/p>\n

Summer Institute in Bioethics (7 weeks<\/em>; from June 1-July 21, 2018)<\/p>\n

The \u201cFoundations\u201d program consists of an introduction to ethical theory\u00a0 along with a review of bioethical principles, theories, terms, and history, and concludes with an optional site visit to
\nThe Hastings Center<\/em> in NY.<\/p>\n

The 7-week program starts with Foundations<\/em> then covers ethical issues pertaining to\u00a0 a broad range of topics including medicine, law, religion, public health,\u00a0 disability ethics, animal ethics, and the environment.<\/p>\n

Morning lectures are followed by small-group mini-courses in the afternoons.
\nParticipants can choose from over 20 mini-courses.
\nParticipants include graduate students and professionals along with a few select undergraduates.
\nParticipants receive mentoring from experts in the field and have ample opportunity\u00a0to tailor the program to meet their career & research goals.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

A small percentage of top participants will be invited to participate in \u201cFast Track\u201d which provides\u00a0 weekly 1:1 tutoring to help participants complete a paper – to be submitted to a journal by the end of the program.<\/p>\n

Tuition: $1,875 (undergraduates); $2,275 (graduate students); $3,275 (professionals)\u00a0Rates for this 2-month program are comparable to 1-week summer programs at similar institutions.<\/em><\/p>\n

Course credit may be available, and housing is available within walking distance for an additional cost.<\/p>\n
