Greetings community change makers!<\/strong><\/p>\n

I hope that despite the current\u00a0political and social climate your spirits are not broken and you are finding hope in our collective expression and resistance. \u00a0 In critical times such as these, we want to extend an invitation to you and your representing organizations\/communities to consider joining the Rainier Beach High School community for our 4th annual “BLOC\u00a0Party” on\u00a0Wednesday, March\u00a028th from 9:00am-12:30pm. \u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The “BLOC” (Building Leaders of Change)\u00a0Party\u00a0is a transformative “day of social justice” that includes a powerful assembly with student performances, as well as 40 community-led interactive workshops that will build our collective power and make a difference in our community! (See our 2017 BLOC Party video here!)<\/p>\n

We are currently looking\u00a0for\u00a0community\u00a0leaders\/facilitators\/activists\/educators\/artists to\u00a0lead (1) 90 minute\u00a0workshop\u00a0on a topic of their choice\u00a0through a social justice lens.<\/strong>\u00a0Broad themes\u00a0include: identity, justice, arts and activism, cultural history, career exploration, etc.\u00a0 Will you consider\u00a0conducting a\u00a0workshop\u00a0at this year\u2019s\u00a0BLOC\u00a0Party that help will inform, inspire, and equip the young people at Rainier Beach High School in the work of justice?<\/p>\n
