Katie Knight

Undergraduate Student

Katie graduated June 2018 in Civil and Environmental Engineering at UW with a minor in Environmental studies. She grew up in Spokane, Washington but then decided to cross the mountains to get her degree and run track and cross country at UW. Katie has worked with the UW Computational Hydrology Group as well as an engineering intern for the consulting firm Anchor QEA. Through these experiences and a love for learning about natural systems Katie looks forward to developing a career in Hydrology and Water Resource Engineering. Katie worked with the Mountain Hydrology group to expand her analysis skills and understanding of the interactions between climate change, snow, and the systems they influence. In her free time Katie also enjoys all things outdoors and active including rock climbing, trail running, yoga, and backpacking. She also loves sitting quietly with a good book and a cup of coffee whenever she gets the chance.
