VPL UW Graduate Students David Fleming and Andrew Lincowski win NASA fellowships

VPL UW graduate students David Fleming and Andrew Lincowski have been awarded NASA Earth and Space Science Fellowships (NESSF). NASA received a total of 197 applications for the Planetary Science Research Program and selected 33 for award. David Fleming's advisor is Rory Barnes and the proposal was titled The Exoplanet Habitability Index. Andrew Lincowski's advisor is Victoria Meadows and the proposal was titled The Nature and Characterization of M Dwarf Terrestrial Planets. These awards will expand on VPL's current research in accessing planetary system habitability and target selection, and climate-photochemical modeling of terrestrial planets that continue to be discovered around M dwarfs.
