Kimberly Trowbridge is a plein-air painter, figure painter, installation artist, musician, and teacher at the Gage Academy. Her paintings, like this one made at Seward Park, capture some of the beauty, intensity and strangeness of our landscape. “There is a presentness,” she says, “rather than yearning for something lost. Like maybe time is over. Maybe we can give up the idea of time. Maybe this is a golden age here and now.”
