His Ph.D. thesis work focused on the creation and analysis of self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) using ToF-SIMS and multivariate analysis. After graduating he worked as a research scientist with NESAC\/BIO and SARC. In 2006 Dan left the UW to help found Asemblon Inc. where he worked for 4 years as a principal scientist in charge of surface engineering research.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In 2010, Dan returned to NESAC\/BIO and is currently working as the NESAC\/BIO Research Coordinator.
