Raima was born and raised in Bozeman, Montana and earned her B.S. from Montana State University in Cell Biology and Neuroscience. She came to UW for medical school and fell in love with the school and the city ever since! During college and medical school, she volunteered for many projects dedicated to serving underprivileged populations both locally and abroad. She also developed a strong interest in global underserved health and hopes to continue building upon that throughout her career. She loves traveling, hiking, reading and baking.
Research interests
I have a strong interest in global health research in resource-limited settings as well as socioeconomic and ethnic disparities in health outcomes in the United States.
