Prior to medical school, I was an English major and worked in several publishing jobs, including at a web publishing startup and literary agency. I subsequently completed a post-bac pre-medical program to re-learn the basic sciences. I spend my free time with my wife and son, in addition to rock climbing, watching hockey, and reading novels, comic books, and political news.

Research interests

Clinician Educator Pathway-I am more involved in teaching than research, and have been building a teaching portfolio through didactics and small group teaching sessions for med students and residents
