We are proud to offer the Nutritional Sciences Minor to undergraduate students from all majors. Our minor is interdisciplinary and includes all nutritional sciences undergraduate courses, as well as courses in environmental health, geography, epidemiology, and anthropology. The curriculum broadens students’ understanding of food systems, food policy, and the metabolic/biochemical aspects of nutrition and allows students the flexibility to choose courses based on their specific areas of interest.

Students from many different majors also choose to take our nutritional sciences courses as electives for their major or simply because they are interested in the topic. For any student wanting to learn more about nutrition, start by taking NUTR 200 Nutrition for Today, our introductory course that is the prerequisite for most of our other courses.

The Nutritional Sciences Minor faculty are nationally and internationally recognized experts who span a wide range of disciplines, including epidemiology, health services, environmental and occupational health sciences, and global health. Our support staff is committed to the success of our students and to developing the minor curriculum.
