Information on the 2023 Northwest Biomechanics Symposium can be found here

May 13-14, 2005

Hosted by

University of Washington

ASB Keynote Address by Kai-Nan An, Ph.D.

"Applications of Medical Imaging in Orthopedic Biomechanics"

Sponsored by the American Society for Biomechanics

Mission: With the recent growth of biomechanics in the Pacific Northwest it seems appropriate that we join together in a symposium aimed at student learning, collaboration, and knowledge transfer.  Therefore, this ASB sponsored symposium aims to bring together leading investigators and students from across the Pacific Northwest.  Students and recent graduates are invited to share their research and the entire regional research community is encouraged to engage in collaborative discussions and networking for academic and career advancement.

History: This initial meeting in what we hope will be an annual event across the region, is based on a mini-ASB meeting and has roots at the University of Washington in previous Biomechanics Symposia.  Using these experiences and models, we hope to host a meeting with excellent student presentations and group discussions which celebrate diverse biomechanical research from across our region.
