Trouble with passwords
Because Otobase passwords are stored in the data file, when you switch to a different data file you must enter a password for that file to successfully log in. If you forget which data file you were last connected with and cannot log in, follow these steps.
To log in if you forget a data file's password
- Uninstall Otobase (this will not affect your data files).
- Reinstall the program.
- Use the initial Administrator/Otolith2 login and password combination.
- Browse to whatever data file you wish to work with and click Open to connect with it.
- Following synchronization of the structure file and data file, log in with the password stored in that data file (or create a new password at this time).
Note: When using multiple data files, it is best to keep a record of the passwords for each.
