Class visits are the Odegaard Writing & Research Center’s way of communicating our full range of services to students first-hand. In lieu of visiting the classroom in person, our remote synchronous and asynchronous class visit options are designed to help instructors introduce students to the array of OWRC services and programs available.
Remote Synchronous Class Visits
Offered synchronously via Zoom, this remote in-class visit option brings a member of OWRC staff into the virtual classroom in real time to briefly introduce the OWRC, what it does, how students can access our services, and how to get the most out of a writing center appointment.
These visits are roughly 5-10 minutes in length and can be requested using the form here. We request that instructors give at least two weeks' notice for a class visit.
Asynchronous Class Visits
In addition to synchrnonous class visits, the OWRC also offers a recorded class visit option that can be viewed or linked directly via YouTube. Like a synchronous class visit, this video introduces students to the OWRC's mission, services, and programs, as well as helpful information about how to access OWRC services online.
