(3) Jacob aspires to a world that values and amplifies human potential rather than ranking and discarding much of it. This belief affects him as a tutor: he is happy to work with writers on an emotional spectrum from exceedingly confident to truly panicked, with self-assessments ranging from 'I'm a bad writer' to 'I'm a good writer but my instructor required me to stop by' to 'I'm really hoping for your feedback on X, a quality or strategy I'm consciously pursuing in this paper'. Jacob enjoys helping writers leave their session with an agenda for revisions that is feasible but also helpful for their continuing growth as a writer. (4) Jacob's hobbies include folk, bluegrass and improv guitar, lowkey data science (Python/SQL/Bash), obviously memes, walking around, and his supremely large and fluffy Ragdoll cat.

Yuki
Undergraduate TutorAs a student pursuing majors in Political Science and Law, Societies, and Justice, Yuki is always reading things and writing things. As if that isn't enough, she also writes in her free time for an illustrated story she is working on. She loves thoughtful conversation, and feels most helpful when students come in at the very beginning of a writing project so she can help brainstorm. She stays happy by drawing, doing photography, growing things, finding bias in news articles, and trying new foods. She loves being shown cool socks. To abide by PNW law, she is currently working on gathering local stickers to decorate her Hydroflask.
