Crissy Fanganello to be featured at 2018 Michael Kyte Distinguished Lecture

City builder and cultural transformation and transportation professional Crissy Fanganello will be speaking at the third annual Michael Kyte Distinguished Lecture at the U of I Moscow campus next Thursday, Sept. 27.

As former Director of Transportation Mobility for the City of Denver, Fanganello spent over 12 years in the public sector for the City & County of Denver’s Department of Public Works where she worked to put an emphasis on transportation planning and operations. She is also heavily invested in multimodal transportation transformation, believing that improvements to transportation can only benefit a city.

Fanganello is currently a member of the board for Denver Bike Sharing and was just recently involved on the boards of the Denver Regional Council of Governments (DRCOG)and the National Association of City Transportation Officials (NACTO). For the Colorado Chapter of Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS), Fanganello acted as President and board member, and was honored for her service by being awarded the WTS Colorado Woman of the Year in 2014.

The Michael Kyte Distinguished Lecture is a yearly event that invites city designers and civil engineers to the U of I Moscow campus to share their stories and experiences in the transportation sector with the community.
