[Abstract] Steve Gorcester, Executive Director, Washington State Transportation Improvement Board, will talk about the board’s transportation grant programs and the role LEAN business process improvement has played in program development.  Using the online TIB Dashboard, Steve will show how large and small process improvements translated into measurable progress for local street systems.

[Speaker Biography] Steve Gorcester serves as the Executive Director of the Washington State Transportation Improvement Board where he is responsible for managing over $400 million in grant obligations to city and county transportation projects.  His nationally recognized performance management program helped gain legislative support for new funding and programs. Steve is a graduate of the University of Washington and has spent 33 years in the specialized field of transportation finance.
