Job Opening at Heffron Transportation: Field Technician Position

Heffron Transportation, Inc. is seeking up to three field technicians to assist in performing a large parking study for the Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT). This study of all public off-street parking facilities in Seattle’s urban core area has been performed every two years since 2014. The findings help the City determine if and where it might be possible to remove on-street parking and make other changes to the transportation system.

Duration of Study and Hours of Work

The project is expected to last for 6 to 8 weeks between mid-April and mid-June, and with between 24 and 40 hours of work each week. Work hours will be Monday through Thursday from 8 A.M. to 4 P.M., up to three Friday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and three Saturdays from 10:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. You must be available for the weekday hours listed above; work on Fridays and Saturdays is negotiable.

    Pay Rate

The pay rate will range from $20 to $22 per hour, which includes paid time to travel to downtown and for a lunch break. We will also cover transit fares and a stipend for meals during the survey periods. Technicians will be eligible for up to a 10% performance bonus for all paid work at the end of the data collection effort.

    Application

Interested individuals are invited to e-mail a resume and cover letter detailing your experience and interests.
