This past November Director Jianwei from Tianjin Traffic Management Bureau and his delegation, along with Professor Meng Li from Tsinghua University, Beijing, visited University of Washington. The PacTrans STAR Lab hosted them for a research exchange workshop where PacTrans and STAR Lab researchers introduced their recent work in the areas of intelligent transportation systems. This included online traffic platform development, mobile sensing, UAV applications, and energy efficient traffic detection devices. The delegation also shared ideas and current developments in their related fields in an effort to build future collaboration opportunities between PacTrans and Tianjin city, as well as between University of Washington and Tsinghua University.
