    Professor Michael Kyte Receives PacTrans 2022 Lifetime Achievement Award

    This year’s PacTrans Lifetime Achievement Award has been given to University of Idaho Professor Emeritus of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Michael Kyte.

    PacTrans Lifetime Achievement Award is the highest and most prestigious award given by PacTrans. It is presented in recognition of individuals who have had distinguished careers in transportation in the Pacific Northwest with substantial involvement in the UTC program.

    Michael Kyte is emeritus professor of Civil Engineering at the University of Idaho. His research focuses traffic signal systems, highway capacity and transportation engineering education. He received his doctorate in civil engineering from the University of Iowa, master’s in civil engineering from the University of California – Berkeley, and bachelor’s in systems engineering from the University of California – Los Angeles.
