See you at the APWA UW Chapter MPAC Night

UW’s American Public Works Association (APWA) Student Chapter and the Management and Public Administration Committee (MPAC) are teaming up this year to host the APWA UW Chapter MPAC Night Wednesday, Nov. 14 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at the Intellectual House.

This year’s event, sponsored by PacTrans, is themed “Transportation in the 21stCentury”, and will feature General Manager of King County Metro, Rob Gannon, and Sound Transit Deputy CEO, Mike Harbour, as the night’s speakers.

Gannon and Harbour will discuss the challenges their respective agencies are faced with, the plans they have for the future of public transit, and how their agencies have grown and ultimately come to lead in the transportation sector.

Assistant Secretary of Transportation for Urban Mobility and Access for WSDOT, Patty Rubstello, will also make an appearance as a special guest and give the opening remarks at the event.

Faculty, staff, and students in the Civil and Environmental Engineering department are invited to educate themselves on an interesting public works topic and are allowed a night of networking with transportation professionals.

You can register for the event here. Hope to see you there!
