    Three PacTrans PIs Consulted in Publishing of WalletHub’s “Best & Worst Cities to Drive in”

    In early September, three PacTrans PIs were invited to contribute to an article published by WalletHub titled, Best & Worst Cities to Drive in.

    University of Washington Professor and PacTrans Director, Yinhai Wang, University of Idaho Associate Professor, Kevin Chang, and Director of the Washington State Transportation Center (TRAC), Mark Hallenbeck, were each consulted during the production of this article.

    The article summarizes a methodology created to quantitatively rank the 100 most populated U.S. cities across four key dimensions: 1) Cost of Ownership & Maintenance, 2) Traffic & Infrastructure, 3) Safety and 4) Access to Vehicles & Maintenance.
