Whatcom County Public Works in Bellingham is looking to fill 2 temporary summer help positions, 1 with Engineering Services – Traffic Section and 1 with Engineering – Design/Construction Section. They are looking for a civil engineering or construction management student who would like to gain experience in their future field.

The Traffic position include one concentrating mainly on Traffic Counts and helping to do engineering analysis of horizontal alignment advisory speeds. The Design/Construction position will primarily work to assist in capital project construction inspection. The positions would also include other real world experience in the civil engineering field. This would be a full time temporary position (40 hours a week) with a flexible start and end date depending on student availability. The pay for this position is $17.62/hr.
