{"id":3107,"date":"2016-02-03T09:10:06","date_gmt":"2016-02-03T17:10:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/pactrans\/?p=3107"},"modified":"2016-08-08T15:31:31","modified_gmt":"2016-08-08T23:31:31","slug":"tech-transfer-5-interactive-tourist-information-sign-website-completed","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/pactrans\/tech-transfer-5-interactive-tourist-information-sign-website-completed\/","title":{"rendered":"Tech Transfer #5: Interactive Tourist Information Sign Website &#8211; COMPLETED!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last month we posted all of the success story projects that PacTrans gave additional funding for technology transfer.<\/p>\n<p>Success Story #5 involved <a href=\"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/pactrans\/?p=3034\" target=\"_blank\">the study of\u00a0traffic sign understandability<\/a>. The tech transfer funding given was for two purposes: (1) to provide a mechanism for sharing the literature review, experimental methods, results, and findings of the project; and (2) to provide an interactive interface that will enable users from around the world to populate a geospatial database with images and descriptions of information signs in different contexts. For both of these components a website was to be created.
