Residents aged 80-84 years had 1.5-times the risk of death compared to those aged 75-79 years. Women were 31% less likely to die than men. Compared with cognitively intact residents, residents with moderate and severe cognitive impairment had 2.1-times and 2.8-times the risk of death.
