Mild COVID-19 among pregnant people may not contribute to higher risk of developing fetal growth restriction, according to a single-center case-control analysis. Researchers monitored fetal growth and other factors in 49 pregnancies in patients with mild PCR+ cases diagnosed at a median of 31 weeks gestation to a control group of pregnant people who tested negative by PCR. There was no difference in head circumference, abdominal circumference, femur length, or estimated fetal weight z-score between the cases and controls at the second and third trimester scans.<\/p>\n
