Patients with diarrhea and respiratory symptoms (n=119) had higher levels of\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">the\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">inflammatory\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">markers procalcitonin and ferritin<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">, longer hospital stays, and higher odds of mortality than those with diarrhea alone.
