RCW 13.04.030, enacted in 1994 and amended in 1997:

Youth age 16 or 17 can be statutorily transferred to adult court if charged with offenses including murder and assault, and if the juvenile has a previous criminal history. In 1997, robbery, burglary, rape of a child and drive by shooting were added to the list of offenses. If the juvenile is convicted or pleads to a lesser charge, the case reverts to juvenile court.
