Chef Lophe's Spicy Cranberry Punch
Here's what we need:
- 2- 2/3 cups cranberry juice
- 3 sticks cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
- 2 teaspoons whole cloves
- 1-1/3 cups gingerale
- 1 small cotton cloth
- 1 piece of string
Here's what we do:
- Put the cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, and cloves inside the cloth and tie it closed with a piece of string.
- Put 2-2/3 cups cranberry juice and the bag of spices into a saucepan.
- Turn stove on to medium.
- Bring to a boil.
- When liquid is boiling turn heat down to low and simmer for 15 minutes.
- Then remove pan from stove.
- Add 1-1/3 cups gingerale.
- Serve warm.
Recipe makes 8 (4.5 oz) servings.
