Chef Lophe's Spicy Cranberry Punch

Here's what we need:

  • 2- 2/3 cups cranberry juice
  • 3 sticks cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 2 teaspoons whole cloves
  • 1-1/3 cups gingerale
  • 1 small cotton cloth
  • 1 piece of string

Here's what we do:

  • Put the cinnamon sticks, nutmeg, and cloves inside the cloth and tie it closed with a piece of string.
  • Put 2-2/3 cups cranberry juice and the bag of spices into a saucepan.
  • Turn stove on to medium.
  • Bring to a boil.
  • When liquid is boiling turn heat down to low and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • Then remove pan from stove.
  • Add 1-1/3 cups gingerale.
  • Serve warm.

Recipe makes 8 (4.5 oz) servings.
