Working with world-class scientists, ACS-LA funds research projects that address some of the most pressing issues facing cetaceans today. The Los Angeles Chapter of ACS is pleased to announce the availability of one research grant, in the amount of $3,000.00, to be awarded to a qualified researcher whose study focuses on cetaceans along the west coast of the US or to a researcher or student attending or affiliated with an accredited west coast university while studying cetaceans anywhere in the world.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The John E. Heyning Research Award will be awarded in 2024. This award is in the amount of $3,000.<br \/>Eligibility: The John E. Heyning and the William F. Samaras Awards will be awarded in alternating years.
