Become a Summer Orientation Leader

Want to learn more about your school while teaching new students what it means to be a Husky?

If so, apply to be an Orientation Leader for the University of Washington!

As an Orientation Leader, you will teach incoming freshmen and transfer students, as well as parents, the ins and outs of campus. First Year Programs is looking for helpful, motivated, and personable students to give the best first impression of the University of Washington. You’ll collaborate with other awesome staff members, student coordinators and advisers to ensure that all incoming students feel welcome and have the tools they need to succeed.

Applications are due on January 31st!

Throughout January, our staff will hold application workshops on campus to help students understand what we’re hoping to see in an application. Dates for these workshops are listed below and on our website. – January 12th, 3:30-4:30pm: Mary Gates Hall Room 120 – January 16th, 11:00-12:00pm: Mary Gates Hall Room 258 – January 18th, 3:30-4:30pm: McMahon Hall, Pompeii Room – January 24th, 3:30-4:30pm: Lander Hall, room L-134 – January 26th, 10:30-11:30am: Mary Gates Hall Room 258
