Clinical opportunities for students

International Pre-health and Pre-Clinical opportunities for students

Gap Medics is the most comprehensive provider of short-term healthcare placements overseas. They send thousands of pre-health and 1st and 2nd year healthcare students overseas annually on short-term summer programs ranging from 1-week to 12-weeks and your students can join them!

Students spend time in Tanzania, India, Thailand or The Caribbean living with 32 other pre-health and 1st and 2nd year healthcare students in large, safe, comfortable houses and shadow highly skilled doctors on their day to day rounds on a fully supervised hospital placement and have clinical teaching sessions at the end of the working day, all aimed at preparing them for their future careers in healthcare and giving them a different perspective of life within a working hospital environment.

The programs allow students to get a better idea which specialism of healthcare interests them too and any student considering a career in healthcare can undertake a Gap Medics placement, whether this be pre-medics, pre-nursing, pre-dental or 1st and 2nd year healthcare students.

The programs start on every weekend of the year in Tanzania, Thailand, India and The Caribbean so students can choose any weekend they wish to start a program.

There are program fees for each program as each includes full support and briefings before travel, accommodation, food, airport transfer, hospital and doctor fees and donations, full extensive in country staff teams and 24-hour security.
