Hey folks, This Wednesday two of the Northwest’s most prolific physician-advocates will have it out on stage over how the American healthcare system should be structured. Dr. Hugh Foy, Harborview trauma surgeon, will represent Single Payer on behalf of Physicians for a National Health Program, and Dr. Bob Crittenden, Harborview family physician and the Executive Director of the Herndon Alliance, a national coalition of over 200 organizations working toward affordable quality care for all Americans, will represent the Affordable Care Act and incremental reform. He has won several teaching awards and is a co-founder of the Physicians for a National Health Program Western Washington chapter. Dr. Bob Crittenden will represent the Affordable Care Act. He divides his time between Harborview and D.C., founded a 90-organization coalition for healthcare access, worked for the WA governor on health policy, and writes frequently for the Seattle Times and other media.
