IE3 Global Internships Are you interested in a medical or other internship abroad? Would you like it to match up with the UW quarter system and get UW credit for your internship? Then an IE3 global internship might be the right study abroad option for you! There are many options for pre-medical, engineering, research, diplomatic, business, design, and many other types of internships in over 50 different countries. A major benefit to global internships is that students can gain professional experience in their chosen field while truly immersing themselves in another culture and actively interacting with its citizens. For example, I spent the past summer in Durban and Cape Town, South Africa on a pre-medical internship and spent time in hospitals, HIV/AIDS clinics, urban clinics, and hospice care facilities.
